Fewer clips than expected

Checked against v1.1.5, 12 September 2026.

Two different things look like this. On the Free plan, every run is capped at 3 clips per video, and the app says so in a line above the results. And on any plan, tondi can come back with fewer than you asked for — or none — when no stretch of whole sentences fits the clip length you set.

“Free plan is limited to 3 clips per video”

Free plan is limited to 3 clips per video.

That's the Free plan working as designed, not a fault. Free makes as many videos as you like, three clips each, with a small watermark. Pro raises it to 10 per video, adds batch mode and removes the watermark. If you have paid and still see this line, see tondi says Free but I paid.

“Couldn't find any good highlight moments”

Couldn't find any good highlight moments — try a shorter minimum clip length, or a longer video.

tondi only cuts between finished sentences, and only keeps stretches between your shortest and longest clip length. If nothing qualifies, you get nothing rather than a clip that opens mid-thought.

  1. Lower the shortest length. A recording with long sentences, or long pauses, produces fewer candidates at 30 seconds than at 15.
  2. Raise the longest length. The same recording may only have stretches longer than your maximum.
  3. Check it's speech. Music, or one long unbroken sentence, gives the scorer nothing to work with. How tondi picks clips explains what it looks for.

Fewer than the number you asked for

Chosen clips can't overlap, and each needs its own clean start and end. A short video simply runs out of room: a 4-minute recording rarely holds ten 30-second clips that don't touch. Ask for fewer, or shorten them.

Common questions

How many clips can Pro make?

Up to 10 per video. That's the maximum the app offers, not a plan limit that keeps rising.

Can I pick the moments myself?

Not in this version. You choose the count and the lengths; tondi chooses the moments. Every clip is a file in a folder, so unwanted ones are a delete away.
