Common questions
How is tondi different from Opus Clip?
Opus Clip is a cloud service: you upload, wait in a queue, and pay per minute of footage. tondi does the same job on your Mac, with no upload and a flat price. Side-by-side comparison.
Does my video get uploaded anywhere?
No. Transcription and rendering both happen on your Mac, so your footage never leaves the machine.
Can I use tondi on client podcasts?
Yes — that is the case it was built for. Nothing is uploaded, so footage under an NDA never leaves your Mac, and there is no per-minute bill for a two-hour episode. tondi for podcast editors.
How is tondi different from Reelify or Ascynd?

Is tondi safe to install?
tondi is signed and notarized by Apple under Developer ID team DHN5QUUM7B, so macOS opens it normally instead of showing an unidentified-developer warning.
Does tondi work on an Intel Mac?
No. tondi is Apple Silicon only, meaning an M1 chip or later. There is no Intel build.
Can I use tondi offline?
Yes, once it's set up. The first run downloads a speech model of about 460 MB; after that no internet connection is needed to make clips.
How long does a video take to process?
A roughly 10-minute video takes a few minutes. Longer videos and the Best accuracy tier take proportionally longer.
How does tondi choose which moments to clip?
A scoring system weighs hook words, emphasis, numbers, punctuation, speech rate and audio energy, and prefers clips that start on a real beginning rather than mid-thought. It is not a language model. The signals and their weights.
