What both plans have in common

Neither plan counts your footage. A cloud clipper sells you minutes, because every minute of your video costs them server time. tondi runs on your Mac, so a 20-minute video and a 3-hour recording cost the same: nothing extra. The comparison with Opus Clip works through what that adds up to over a year.

Neither plan uploads your video, either. That is not a plan feature; it is how the app works — which is why editors with client footage use it. See what you need to run it.

What you pay over a year

Common questions

Why doesn't tondi charge per minute?

Because nothing is uploaded. Cloud clippers pay for servers by the minute of footage they process and pass that on as credits. tondi does the work on your Mac, so there is no meter to pass on — clip ten hours of podcast a month for $10.

What does Free include?

Everything except the limits: every caption style, font and aspect ratio, and no cap on how much video you process. The limits are 3 clips per video, one video at a time, and a small tondi watermark on exports. No account, no card, and it does not expire.

What does Pro add?

Up to 10 clips per video, batch mode to queue several videos at once, and no watermark. It is the same app with the limits lifted — nothing is processed differently.

Is tax included?

No. Sales tax, VAT or GST is calculated and added at checkout based on where you are. Stripe is the seller for the purchase itself (the merchant of record), so your receipt comes from Link and the charge shows on your statement as LINK.COM* tondi.

How do I cancel?

From your account page, which opens Stripe's billing portal, or from Stripe's own order management at link.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. If tondi does not work for you, email support@tondi.app within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it. You can also raise it with Stripe directly. Neither route limits any rights you have under consumer law.

Do I need an account?

Not for Free — download and start. Pro needs one so the app knows you have paid: you sign in with a code emailed to you, with no password. You can sign in on each Mac you own or control.

Does Pro work offline?

Yes. Making clips never needs a connection. The app checks your subscription when it can, and a Pro subscription keeps working for seven days without one.

Is there a lifetime licence, team plan or student price?

No. There are two plans — Free and Pro — and one price for Pro. If that changes, it will never change a period you have already paid for, and you will hear before it applies.

Start free, decide later

Free has no time limit, so try it on your own footage first. Pro is one click on your account page if the limits get in the way.
